The IDEAS Network is currently redoubling its efforts to strengthen public safety and emergency management initiatives, with an eye to becoming a leader in supporting communities to build resilience to disaster situations. To this end, the proposed inaugural “Building Resilience Through Collaboration” national conference in Toronto, tentatively slated for November 28 – December 1, 2009, and the accompanying Cross-Canada pandemic tabletop simulation series have been indefinitely postponed.
